Recently Rima Fakih was selected as Miss USA 2010. This beautiful Arab-Michigan contestant was successfully defeated 50 other contestants.Rima Fakih did have a blood descendant from Lebanese Muslims. Rima Fakih grew up in Dearborn, Michigan which is a special place of Arab American community. She lived there with her parents and her younger brother, Rami.
24 year old Rima Fakih victory is certainly very surprising because, since the September 11 terrorist attacks on 2001, Muslims get terrorists stereotyped. Her victory also considered very special, because for the first time Muslim woman with Arab descent won the Miss USA contest.
Before win at the Miss USA 2010, Rima Fakih also won in Miss Michigan contest.
Rima is very happy with her victory. She did not expect that she able to be success in Miss USA beauty contest.
