The life of legendary actress Marilyn Monroe was ready to ride to the big screen. 'King Kong' stars, Naomi Watts had already chosen to portray Marilyn Monroe.

Marilyn Monroe biography film will be adapted from the novel 'Blonde' written by Joyce Carol Oates. The novel was released by Oates in 2000.

'Blonde' will directed by Andrew Dominik. The director of 'The assassination of Jesse James' wants to show the other side of Norma Jeane Mortenson (Marilyn Monroe) life in this film.

"I want to show the story of Norma Jeane as the main character in a fairy tale. The story of an orphan girl who got lost in the jungle of Hollywood," says Dominik.

To work on 'Blonde', Dominik already pocketed USD 20 million funds. If on schedule, this film will begin filming in January 2011.
