Donnie Simpson, longtime American DJ radio began his career at age 15 at Urban Contemporary radio station WJLB in Detroit, Michigan for 8 years.Then in 1997 he moved to Washington, D.C and start to work for WRC-FM as morning drive host and program director for “Disco 93.9″ (now WKYS). At WRC-FM, Donnie Simpson work for 15 years.
Since March 1993 Donnie Simpson at WPGC-FM, he hosted his popular “The Donnie Simpson Morning Show” on Washington, D.C. He is also known as Radio DJ with biggest salary over $1 million!!!
Donnie Simpson also awarded by Billboard as “1998 Air Personality of the Year”. He is also popular with his nickname “Dr. Green Eyes” for his luminous light green eyes.
Now it seems Donnie Simpson have to take a break for regeneration purpose. He has to leave 95.5 WPGC today after decades on the air.
Donnie Simpson has to leave the air due his contract negotiations fell through with CBS Radio. So he is not allowed to work on Washington air in for 13 1/2 months per non-compete clause in his contract with CBS.Many worlds especially US celebrities from across the country send their farewell and say thank you to the greatest radio DJ that world ever have.
