Madonna, U2 and AC / DC are a Billboard Touring Awards finalist in 2009, which will be announced at a special reception in New York, 5 November.The award was based on the number of global box office reports to Billboard Boxscore from October 1, 2008 until September 30, 2009.
The finalists for the award categories Top Tour and Top Draw ticket sales are 360 tour U2, Madonna Sticky & Sweet Tour, and AC / DC Black Ice Tour.
In the category awards the Top Package Award falls to five-times winner Kenny Chesney on the Sun City Carnival Tour with Miranda Lambert, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland and Montgomery Gentry, The Jonas Brothers to the 2009 World Tour with Jordin Sparks, Honor Society and Wonder Girls and Nickelback with Dark House Tour them with Hinder, Papa Roach, and Saving Abel on board.Billboard Touring Conference and Awards is an annual meeting sponsored by Billboard Magazine also to appreciate entertainment industry and international professional artists. Billboard Touring Conference and Awards held for the first time in 2004.
The conference and awards held each year in November, usually held at the Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The conference lasted for two days and was attended by figures from the music industry and concert. Each year Billboard Touring Conference and Awards represent main speaker of the music industry such as Gene Simmons from Kiss, etc.
